Scope of Work
Our team of chartered surveyors and engineers delivered a full structural design package, which included foundation design, the engineering of 29 pieces of steel for load support, and floor load calculations to meet building regulations and client specifications.
Challenges & Solutions
The extensive use of steel in the design required meticulous planning and coordination to ensure structural integrity and seamless integration with the existing property. Detailed structural analysis and modeling were conducted to determine the optimal size, placement, and connections for each steel beam. Limited site access posed logistical challenges for steelwork installation, which were resolved by collaborating with the construction team to create a phased installation plan.
