Solar Panel Weight Calculations for Centre AT7
WHL Surveying & Engineering was appointed to evaluate the feasibility of installing solar panels on the roof structure of Centre AT7. Located in Coventry, Centre AT7 is a vibrant community sports and leisure facility. Established in 1987, the centre offers a variety of amenities, including a 25-meter swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness suite, indoor sports halls, and outdoor facilities such as a climbing and abseiling tower. The primary objective of this project was to assess whether the roof could safely accommodate the additional weight of the solar panel system.
Scope of Work
Our engineers conducted a detailed structural analysis of the roof to assess its capacity for bearing the added load of solar panels. This included:
